Belly Breathing Basics… |
Get comfortable and undo your belt buckle!
This is time for YOU, you deserve it.
Breathe in through your nose and push your belly out. Then gently squeeze your tummy muscles and breathe out through a small opening in your lips. Continue to repeat this process again and again.
The out-breath should be about one and a half times as long as the in-breath and the flow of air out of your chest should be even and slow.
Pause momentarily after the in-breath and after the out-breath as well.
Whenever you catch your mind wandering, gently come back to the next breath without judging yourself and without being hard on yourself. Breathe at your own tempo and at about 70 to 80 % of your capacity.
Breathe mindfully, slowly and gently.
Practice every day.
